Question by cocoamis92: Where can I find cheap teen car insurance in Cincinnati, OH?
Few people in my family actually drive with a license let alone insurance(not including my mother) she doesn’t even drive. I’m only 17, how can I and where can I get CHEAP car insurance from?

Best answer:

Answer by David W.
In the Yellow Pages. However, at 17, you can’t make a contract, so your mom will have to be the named insured, even though she doesn’t have a license. Call an agent and explain the situation; they may be able to help you. Remember that the car will still be rated for YOU at 17, though, so be ready for some high rates.

There’s no such thing as cheap car insurance for a 17 year old. Drivers under age 25 are the highest risk group to insure.

Call many different insurance agencies and get quotes. You’ll have to answer questions about your age and the specifics of your vehicle, but getting the quote is free and painless. Go with whichever one gives you the best (cheapest) offer.

I would try a local State Farm. That’s who I went through when I first got my license at 18 (I also live in Cincinnati), and I was pleasantly surprised at how much cheaper it was than all the others. I am also a male, was driving a red sports car at that time, and did not go through a driver’s education course. Generally speaking, those are three big factors for young drivers, but they didn’t seem to matter with them. Good luck!
